An Unexpected Visit Home

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 15, 2009, 8:27 AM
Hey guys

I hope this journal finds you all well. I'm doing all right, I had a bit of a scare last night, that brought me home unexpectedly from college. I had a soccer game yesterday that my mother and father drove up to watch (I'm the starting goal keeper), but while I was in the training room after that game, my mom gets a call from one of my brothers saying that my dog had fallen into our pool, and there was blood. So we speed home as fast as possible, but my college is about 50 minutes away from my house, and we're all worried. My brother managed to get our 75 pound dog, Molly, that's afraid of water out, but he said over the phone that she wasn't being very responsive and, again, she was bleeding somewhere. I felt helpless, but I managed to get a hold of the emergency number of the local Animal Hospital. The vet on call got in touch with me, and he suggested that we take her to a different animal hospital that's another hour away in the other direction because they are more suited to treating hypothermia. So...to make a long story short, my dog lived, my brother's quick action saved her life. She's back home now, exhausted, but fine.

But yeah, the emergency took me directly home, I didn't even get my dirty laundry or homework from my dorm room, I just came directly home, hence why I can't show you any art yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to post some -NEW- things come Thanksgiving. In the meantime, I might post some old stuff I never posted...we'll see.

Thank you all for your patience!!

Come December I should get a lot of stuff done! I'll have over a month of break. Dec.12-Jan.19 is my break!

Tisk ... I'll never beat you at this rate ... Say, do you think it would be a good idea to draw it in my style? I've been thinking I should.
:iconwanderingtwilight:
Yes, I think you should draw in your own style. I personally feel that when I draw trying to imitate someone's style that it's more trying on the artist, me. I end up getting frustrated because nothing ends up looking like I want, and it's just blah. However, when you draw in your own style, something you're far more familiar with, everything is much more simple, and you can find that you can do things faster.

Besides...I LOVE YOUR STYLE 8D
